Hvala
i dont think thats the problem, and my notebook specification i consider is decent
Corpus is a 32-bit program, which means that it can address a maximum of 2GB of RAM, regardless of how much physical RAM is installed on the computer.
If there are a lot of complex elements (which have a lot of curves) and a lot of 3D objects (which have a lot of polygons) in the projects, significant memory consumption can occur.
What can be done to solve this problem?
- Some complex 3D objects that are repeated many times can be the reason for consuming all the memory. I have noticed that some users use 3d objects (furniture legs, for example) that have several tens of thousands of polygons. If you take into account that one element uses four legs and that you have a lot of elements in the project, this can lead to a very large memory footprint. Try replacing such 3D objects with simpler ones.
- I have also noticed that some users have unnecessarily large textures for decors. Some have more than 4000 pixels per page. Any decor image that is more than 1280 pixels per long page is completely unnecessary. Reduce the sizes of huge textures.
- Corpus uses a very simple “Undo” method. It simply copies the entire memory space of a project and saves it for possible use of the Undo command. If it saves 10 strokes for possible use of the Undo command, that means that each project will use 10 times more memory.
If you can live without the “Undo” command, turn it off. That’s what I did and I never experienced “Out of memory” again.
Go to the “System\Corpus.ini” file, in the [Main] section add the line “disableundo=1” and restart Corpus.
Corpus is on a 32 bit system, i.e. old technology, so it has limitations. I assume that you use a lot of 3D models and have quite a base, I still have the same problem as you, but much less than before, because I reduced the number of 3D models, especially in obj format, and now I use wrl format, so the program itself processes data faster. Try to remove from ‘’Potrosni’’ models that you don’t use…..
Hi!
At this stage they don’t look very good and need to be polished, if you manage to improve something please be kind and share it with us.Thanks!
Thanks for the template, I’ll study how it works , and when I finish something interesting, I’ll let you know.TNX
I don’t know what to explain to you. In version 6 they added a few more lines to the elements-boards, automatic coding of elements and macros, and a CM key that checks the license every now and then… I have some projects that I worked on properly in the V4 version without any problems, and which I can’t fully open in version 6, and I still haven’t received a concrete answer why in the newer version I get empty errors from the V4 project… I collaborate with a lot of carpenters-manufacturers who use Corpus and they all have the same and similar problems, I think the program should be moved to a 64-bit system to remove these problems.
